Register for the Online Event: „Fighting on the Frontlines of the Climate Crisis: Floodings, Extreme Heat and the Right to Health in Pakistan„
📅 10 September 2025 | 🕖 7:00 PM CEST | 🌍 Online
Pakistan is one of the countries most affected by the climate crisis, despite contributing only a small fraction to global greenhouse gas emissions. Amnesty International’s recent report, “Uncounted: Invisible deaths of older people and children during climate disasters in Pakistan”, highlights how extreme heatwaves and devastating floods are putting millions of people at serious risk, especially older people and children, whose deaths often go unrecorded in official statistics. This event will explore the report’s findings and place them within a broader conversation about human rights and climate justice. Please join us as we will hear from Amnesty’s Crisis Response Team, as well as from medical doctors and students involved in the report.
